30th Anniversary Banquet

On the Saturday before opening day of the Big Top Tour at Circus Smirkus, each year all of the people involved in putting on the show enjoy a fabulous meal and “No Talent Talent Show” on the grounds of Smirkus World HQ in Greensboro, Vermont. Enjoy the pictures below for a peak into our celebration.

Banquet is a annual opportunity for Troupers, staff, and crew to celebrate the impending opening of the Big Top Tour on the last Saturday before the show opens.  Featuring phenomenal food lovingly prepared by the incomparable Pie Boss Andrew Levy and Pie Car staff, the meal was followed by speeches of thanks and appreciation to coaches, tour crew and staff for the show everyone is working hard to prepare together.

Later, we stepped into the No Talent Talent Show, an annual tradition in Smirkus Pre-Tour where all Troupers, staff, and crew are invited to show off any talent that they may (or may not) possess!  The only rule is that no circus arts are allowed. Tonight we were entertained by singers, interpretive dancers, and even a performance featuring jacket zippers as musical instruments!

Enjoy the photos below of the evening, and we hope to see you at one of our performances this summer. We are fast approaching our opening show in Greensboro, which takes off in just one week!  To join in on the fun, you can get your Big Top Tour tickets here.
