Run away to the circus along with your family and friends at our unique camp session designed for kids and adults of all ages!

Our brand new Family and Friends experience at Smirkus Camp is a 2-day camp specially tailored for kids of all ages 5-adult.  Join Smirkus Camp staff and coaches for two days of fun, frolicking, and upside-downing at our camp in Greensboro, in the heart of Vermont’s Northeast Kingdom.  You’ll tumble! You’ll juggle! You’ll laugh and you’ll fly!

All activities are included as well as lunch from the Smirkus Camp Pie Car on Saturday and Sunday! Please note this is a day-camp-only program running from 10am-4pm each day. Lodging is not included nor will there be lodging available at Smirkus Camp.

This camp is supported by a grant from Vermont Afterschool with the goal to expand access to and improve the quality of summer enrichment
opportunities and afterschool programming for children and youth statewide.

The 2023 Camp Schedule

★ Sample Schedule ★

9:30-10 AM: Arrival.

10-10:20 AM: Warm Ups. The first class of the day will start with a general warm up for everyone.

10:30AM-12PM: Circus Rotations A & B. Family and friends will be grouped and directed into rotations so that all participants will have the opportunity to try a variety of circus skills such as rola bola, wire walking, juggling, rolling globe and have a turn on one or many aerial apparatus.

12-12:45PM: Lunch! Refuel and Recharge. Wholesome, filling and tasty options in Rufus Dining Hall.

1:30-3 PM: Circus Rotations C & D. Back in rotation groups, for round 2 of circus time! Juggling balls, flying scarves and spinning plates in the juggling tent, and rolls, jumps and tumbling on the acro mats!

3-3:30 PM: Family and Friends Pyramids or Clowning. 

3:30-4 PM: Circus Games & Closing Circle.

COVID-19
Circus Smirkus requires proof of full vaccination (including boosters as recommended by CDC) against Covid-19 with a CDC or WHO authorized vaccine for all staff, campers, and troupers. Additional Covid-19 protocols will be updated based on current public health guidelines, and are subject to change following state and/or local ordinance, guidance from the CDC, and at the discretion of Circus Smirkus for the health and safety of our participants and staff. You may want to use our 2022 guidelines for reference as you plan for this coming summer.

Refund Policy:

If Circus Smirkus must cancel at any point, participants will be refunded 100%. If participants must cancel before July 26, 2023, a full refund minus a $50 processing fee per group will be issued. Camper cancellations are non-refundable after July 26, 2023; exceptions will be determined by the Camp Director (symptoms, etc.).
