The Smirkus Troupers are truly the
heart of our summer Big
Top Tour.
Selected by audition,
recruited from our circus
camp, or invited from other circus programs across
the US and around the world, the Troupers experience
a complete immersion in the joys and rigors of circus
life.
They live, eat, travel, rehearse, work, and perform
alongside professional artists as colleagues in a
spirited two-hour show that receives national media
coverage every summer for its imagination, enthusiasm,
and professional quality.
A number of our Troupers have gone on to professional
careers in circus and the other performing arts.
But whether or not Troupers continue in the circus
life, all of them come away with confidence, self-discipline,
and a dedication to the spirit of adventure.
