Away to Smirkus for the Day!

Into to Smirkus Camp is for any kid
five to ten years old who wants a day-long introduction
to the magic of circus camp, before leaping
into an overnight camp experience.
It's a great way to introduce the circus arts
and our only camp option for kids as young as
five years old. (Kids ages 6 - 9 can also
enroll in Smirkling
Camp, our two-day introductory sleepover
camp.Kids ages 8-16 can register for one of
our one- or two-week
residential camps.).

One Magical Smirkus
Day
Intro to Smirkus Camp begins
at 8:30 am (with a quick registration) on Saturday,
June 16 and concludes with a pie-throwing ceremony
with family and friends at 4:00 pm. In one full
day, kids get a real Circus Smirkus camp experience!
A Special Sampling
of Skills
Intro to Smirkus campers get
a chance to try all the basic circus
skills: manipulations (scarves and spinning
plates – the precursors to juggling),
balance (low wire and rolling globe), aerials
(Spanish web, Lyra, and static trapeze), tumbling
(acrobatics), and lots and lots of clowning.
They even get a chance to "pie"
the coaches, counselors AND their parents!
Of course, our usual strict safety procedures
are always in full force.
Don't delay. Our camps fill
up fast, starting in the Fall. Campers are accepted
on a first-come, first-served basis and some
camps fill quickly, so apply early to guarantee
your place under the Big Top. Register

registration fee.
