Vermont makes it Magical!
The setting and accommodations create a back
drop for a truly magical experience.
Lyndon Institute
The campus of Lyndon
Institute, located in the quaint village
of Lyndon Center, Vermont, is the new home of
Smirkus Camp for 2010. Located fifteen minutes
from St. Johnsbury and only three hours from
Boston, Lyndon Institute is known for its committment
to outstanding arts, academic and athletic programs,
as well as its scenic setting in the beautiful
Northeast Kingdom of Vermont.

Lodging
Campers are housed with their counselors in
two dormitory-style buildings. The rooms can
accommodate two to four campers, depending on
room size, and campers are assigned roommates
based on age. We try to honor all reasonable
roommate requests received in a timely manner.

Big Top Tents
The circus training and classes take place under
our European big top tents giving our campers
a real circus experience.

Meals
All meals are prepared and served in the Dining
Hall by the Lyndon Institute food service. Three
hearty, kid-friendly meals are served daily.
Morning and afternoon snacks are provided as
well. Our emphasis is on serving healthy foods,
including plenty of fresh fruits and vegetables.
Occasionally, we treat the campers to a special
dessert or "kids choice" dinner. Vegetarian
options are available at every meal. Campers
on a vegan, kosher, gluten or wheat-free, or
other special diet will need to bring some food
to camp to supplement what the cook staff can
provide for them.

Laundry
Campers should bring adequate clothing for their
entire stay, including plenty of clean socks.
Kids staying for a layover will have supervised
use of the laundry facility.
(Please note that not all areas of the Lyndon
Institute campus are accessible to the campers.)
